Habitat Cape May received an amazing donation in fall 2012 - a 4-bedroom ranch-style home in immaculate condition, from the Collins family of Ocean City. The Collins were building a new home, and offered the house to Habitat to relocate to a lot in Middle Township. The house was moved from Spruce Road in Ocean City to Anna Street in Whitesboro at the end of April, and Habitat volunteers completed interior and exterior renovation to make it good as new.  We were thrilled to have this project sponsored by the New Jersey Association of Realtors Housing Opportunity Foundation, and realtors from throughout Cape May County, as well as from the NJAR offices in Northern Jersey, joined our volunteer construction crew. Our partner family's mom Sharay Wakefield grew up in Whitesboro, and now has her own home in her old hometown.
